Horse and Buggy Produce, the leading local, natural foods cooperative in Charlottesville, is pleased to announce that it will be returning to Old Trail Village for the 2010 season. Their season begins April 15 and ends Dec. 16.
***H&B will be changing the pick-up day to Thursdays, between 5pm and 6:30pm.***
Each week, we’ll deliver your “share” of a hand-selected assortment of the most delicious and freshest, locally-grown, seasonal fruits and vegetables from central Virginia, such as: peaches, spinach, strawberries, chard, bibb lettuce, apples, sweet onions, yellow squash, asparagus, concord grapes, radishes, sweet peppers, cantaloupes, potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, and everybody’s favorite, heirloom tomatoes!
Most of our growers are members of an Old Order Mennonite community in the Shenandoah Valley who not only have been farmers for generations, but also employ timeless methods for raising zero-, organic-, or low-spray fruits and vegetables. They also raise beef, chicken, trout, pork, bison, and lamb, plus bake an assortment of breads and granolas, all of which are available to you. Once a week, our service will link your table with their harvest. For more information, check out our website, www.horseandbuggyproduce.com. Space is limited.
We look forward to seeing you in the spring!
