Child Safety Day

ACAC-Crozet is teaming up with Sheriff Chip Harding and Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office to host a Child Safety Day. This is FREE to anyone and will be a great event.

Saturday, July 31st from 10 am-12 Noon

The event will have child fingerprinting, education about internet crimes against children, and Gun Safety with Eddie the Eagle (what to do if a child came across a gun- do not pick up it, find an adult, etc…).

The Eddie the Eagle presentation is free but we ask that you call to pre-register children to get a head count.  Please call for more information and to register 434.817.2055.

ACAC-Crozet is located in the Old Trail Village Center, just off of Rt. 250 and I64 Exit 107.

Crozet Farmers’ Market

The Crozet Farmer’s Market is open Saturdays from 8 am until 12 noon, in the church parking lot on Crozet Avenue (at the corner of Crozet Ave and Jarmans Gap Rd).

What’s in season now: broccoli, lettuce, greens, cucumbers, beets, carrots, cherries, onions, garlic, early tomatoes, snap beans and more!

As the season progresses you may expect to see more and more vendors arriving with a wide variety of locally grown products. Come weekly to see what’s new, meet people, exchange recipes, get to know your neighbors and support the Local Foods movement.

Horse and Buggy Pick-Up Date

Horse and Buggy will start their Crozet pick-up schedule on WEDNESDAY, April 14th, at the Old Trail Village Center.  The season is about to start, so visit www.HorseandBuggyProduce.com to sign up for your share.

Community Garden Meeting

Just a quick reminder that the Crozet Community Garden meeting is TONIGHT, 6 p.m., at the Old Trail Golf Pavilion, located in the Clubhouse.

Old Trail Golf Club is located 1 mile from the I64 Crozet Exit 107.  Turn onto Old Trail Drive across from Western Albemarle High School; make a LEFT at the first roundabout to the Golf Course.

Crozet Community Garden

Old Trail Village is proud to host the Crozet Community Garden in the dedicated Western Park recreation area.  Located on Old Trail Drive, the Crozet Community Garden will produce fresh vegetables to help feed those in need in our area.  Additionally, a community garden is a wonderful opportunity for young children to experience the growing season and participate in the magic of a garden.

To participate in the Crozet Community Garden project, please attend an informational and planning meeting on Monday, March  29th, 6pm at the Old Trail Golf Clubhouse.

ACAC Grand Opening!

ACAC-Crozet at Old Trail will have its Grand Opening Monday, October 26!

In addition to member usage, ACAC-Crozet will be open FREE to the public all day!  If you’ve been wanting to try out the new facility and see how easy and fast it is to get in shape here in Crozet, come on by next Monday, 10/26.
