Residents of Old Trail Village are excited to see rapid progress of pool excavation despite frigid temps.  After extensive site preparation, the pool contractor began excavation in earnest last week.

On schedule to open for the Summer 2009 swim season, the Old Trail Village pool complex will feature walk-in pool access, swim lanes, and a shallow wading pool.  In addition to the swimming area, the pool complex will offer men’s and women’s locker rooms, a snack bar, and community room for parties and neighborhood gatherings.

One particularly attractive design feature to be included in the pool is a large tile logo of the Old Trail Village clock tower mark, which will be set into the pool floor over the coming weeks.

Crozet, VA Real Estate III is proud to announce that it is concluding the year at Old Trail Village as the leading community in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. With the highest number of home sales by community in its category, Old Trail Village saw sustained sale prices and a number of $1 million or more home sale transactions.* Unlike other communities in the area, Old Trail Village has enjoyed steady sales and a reduction in built home listings.
According to Rick Spigone, the managing broker for Old Trail at Real Estate III,

“Our builders were conservative with their housing starts due to the 2008 uncertainty in the Charlottesville-area housing market; however, we are actually in a position where we are awaiting the completion of several projects in order to satisfy the demand for the range of products offered here at Old Trail Village.”
“We have been partnered with Beights Corporation as their listing agent since Old Trail’s inception and we look forward to continued success in the coming years,” said Jeff Gaffney, Chairman of Real Estate III. He continued, “The completion of the Old Trail Village Center and pool complex will continue to encourage sales in 2009 as families are choosing Old Trail for its amenities and friendly community life.”
Located 12 miles west of Charlottesville on Rt. 250 in Crozet, Virginia, Old Trail Village is a vibrant community of neighbors enjoying the benefits of modern living in a rural setting. Designed following the principles of new urbanism, Old Trail Village is a walkable community with a commercial center, park, trails, and play areas. The Old Trail Village Center, featuring an ACAC Fitness and Wellness facility, several eateries, office space, and apartment living will open in early 2009.
