Local Concierge Business Makes the Drive into Charlottesville

Cville Concierge LLC, a full-service personal assistant firm that manages tasks ranging from the everyday, routine chores like house cleaning and car detailing on up to projects that require a team of people to orchestrate from inception to completion has a plan for simplifying any lifestyle. An over-scheduled, busy family gets a helping hand when the scrumptious Carpe Donuts get delivered to Annabelle’s birthday party just in time. An executive director is relieved to know that his much-loved convertible has been safely transported along with his customized set of golf clubs and five bags of designer luggage from Charlottesville to his home in London, England.  A harried mother breathes a sigh of relief that the dry cleaning has been shuttled to and from Charlottesville, freeing her time to spend with her children.

Sue Battani, founder of Cville Concierge & Errand Services states, “We’re very pleased that we have been serving our clients since 2006, and we’re continuing to grow every day.  One of the common denominators we’ve seen with our clients is requests for errand management from those residing in the western part of the county, particularly Crozet. They find themselves having to take the drive into Charlottesville to carry out many of their daily tasks. We are poised to be the ‘connector’ of Crozetians and the businesses of Charlottesville.”

Answering the call to most effectively serve the needs of their western Albemarle clients, the Cville Concierge team has begun settling into their new office located in the Old Trail Village Center in Crozet. At this new location, area residents will have some exciting services to enjoy. Teaming up with Terrie and Luke Brown of Skyline Cleaners in Charlottesville, Cville Concierge will be offering dry cleaning drop off/pick up services.

Justin Beights, President of Beights Corporation, developer of Old Trail Village, said of the new addition, “We are truly pleased to have Sue and her team join the merchant community in the Old Trail Village Center.  Their services will really help those seeking the live, work, play lifestyle offered here in Old Trail.  I know many residents are particularly pleased to have Skyline’s cleaner service and a copy center close at hand.”

In addition to several personal assistant services, Cville Concierge’s new Old Trail Village Center office will be offering much needed copying and printing services. The new copy facility offers Color, B&W copies, and standard to 11X17 paper sizes - eliminating any need to drive to Charlottesville to procure copies.

Cville Concierge & Errand Service (http://www.cvilleconcierge.com) offers a comprehensive range of services including, but not limited to: personal shopping service; house-sitting and pet setting; travel arrangements; event ticket pick-up and delivery; internet research; data entry; mail pick-up; package/document pickup and delivery; notary services; bank deposits and other customized services.

Located in the Old Trail Welcome Center office of the Village Center, Cville Concierge’s Old Trail Village Center office hours will be 8AM - 6PM Monday through Friday, 10AM - 3PM Saturday.

Annual Report

December 2009

Despite ongoing anxiety in financial markets and other real estate communities, Old Trail Village has not only weathered the economic storm of 2009, but has in fact significantly increased sales!  Beights Corporation is proud to announce that, with the dedication of our builders, merchants of the Village Center, and a commitment to the vision of this walkable community, Old Trail Village is surpassing all other similarly-sized communities in our area and across the state for growth and sales success.

Many factors contributed to our sales growth during a difficult year for real estate sales, the first of which was an expansion of our marketing and sales program to include multiple agencies.  By allowing our builders to customize their sales and marketing efforts with their own brokers and agents, Old Trail Village was able to increase marketing efforts exponentially.  As a result, Old Trail Village is seeing unparalleled growth despite a challenged local market.

Completed home sales have jumped 29% over 2008; sales of lots for new construction have increased 125%.  Craig Builders, Peak Builders, Arcadia Builders, European Homes of Albemarle and the other members of the Old Trail Village Builders Guild continue to experience success and steady on-going sales.   We are also pleased to have welcomed successful new builders to Old Trail Village: both Eagle Construction and Piedmont Realty are experiencing multiple sales of new construction projects at the first-time home buyer price point.  These astonishingly positive numbers are an indication of the superior character and vision for Old Trail Village.

Real estate sales in Old Trail Village for 2009 were as follows: (as of 12/16/2009)

Old Trail Village opened a pool facility to serve area members in July.  This much-anticipated amenity adds significant value for our homeowners, supporting their investment in this active community.  The Old Trail Swim Club, open to all persons, saw over 250 members in its first year even with a truncated season. Sign-ups are already underway for the 2010 swim season.

Also in July 2009, the Old Trail Village Center welcomed well over 1,000 people to its grand opening activities with 100% of its commercial space leased, and with residents already enjoying the new luxury apartments of this mixed-use facility.  Now nearly completely leased in terms of residential apartments (only 9 remain), the tenant community of the Village Center has truly achieved the live, work, play environment that is the hallmark of neighborhood development.

In addition to the increase in completed and new construction home sales, Beights Corporation recently received a development loan totaling $7 million for a new phase of construction.  According to J. Alden English, closing attorney with powerhouse legal firm McGuireWoods, “this was the only new development loan [in our office] that closed in 2009, and it is very likely that only a few mixed-use development loans closed in Virginia this year.”  That Beights Corporation was able to secure financing for such a significant project under current restrictive banking practices is a testament to the security and quality of Old Trail Village as an investment.

Old Trail Village has been and remains a thriving community with unparalleled growth and development.  With annual sales in 2009 of over $18.9 million and the launching of three new Phases of residential development and construction, Old Trail Village remains positioned to continue its exponential success for years to come.

Beights Corporation and Old Trail Golf Club are hosting the first It’sMyProm.Org positive prom fashion event in the Albemarle area Sunday, January 17th, at 1 p.m. in the Golf Pavilion.  After two years of outstanding success in the Roanoke area (with over 1000 people in attendance each year), we’re bringing the organization and show to our area.

This event is a prom-gown fashion show featuring our local teenagers as models.  The event is open to EVERYONE to participate as a model, and we already have young women from each area high school signed up to participate.  Johnathan Kayne, a popular designer from Project Runway, will be in attendance showcasing his 2010 gown collection, a newsworthy event in itself.  Dress shops from around the area (including the Valley and Richmond) are also participating.  Face Value Salon is a sponsor, providing hair and makeup services for the models during our show.

The event, although a fashion show activity, primarily is a vehicle for informing our teens about the dangers of destructive decision-making and affecting positive change within the culture of prom experienced by our high school youth.  In between sets of gown showcases, speakers give messages about making safe choices for Prom.  By involving the high school student models, we have ambassadors into the school system promoting the positive message.  There is no limit on the number of models, nor do the models have to fit any particular stereotype of size, look, etc.  It’s a positive experience for the teens and this year creates the foundation for future growth and program expansion.

Tickets for the show are just $10, but each attendee receives a discount card for local businesses that are our sponsors.  Once you get that discount card, you can use it as often as you like!

NBC29 has generously offered to support this event as our title sponsor.  Other sponsors are:

ESTER MAY  434.392.4197  www.estermay.com

FASHION GALLERY  540.248.4292  www.fashiongalleryva.com

FACE VALUE SALON and BARBERSHOP, 434.823.2009, www.FaceValueStudio.com

This event is made possible by grants from the VA ABC and the Roanoke Prevention Council.
